Between treatments: the skincare your esthetician wishes you used.

Peels, facials, and in office treatments deliver their best results when the days between them are handled well. Here’s the between treatment routine, and when to start it.

A calm skincare ritual moment between professional treatments

If you invest in professional treatments — chemical peels, facials, microneedling, laser — you already know the strange gap in the industry: enormous care goes into the hour in the chair, and almost none into the two hundred hours between appointments. Yet ask any esthetician where results are won or lost and they will tell you: it’s the in between.

First rule: your provider outranks the internet

Every treatment has its own aftercare window, and your provider’s instructions always come first. This article is about the phase after that window — once skin is intact and you have been cleared for regular skincare, but your complexion still feels drier, tighter, and more easily flustered than usual.

The between treatment routine

Keep cleansing boring

Lukewarm water, a gentle non foaming cleanser, no brushes or scrubs. Boring is the goal.

Replenish with a recovery oil

Freshly treated skin is thirsty. A few drops of a concentrated, fragrance free recovery oil — oxygen activated plant lipids like squalane, jojoba, and ozonated olive oil — press comfort back into skin that feels tight and looks sensitized.

Protect with a barrier cream

Seal with a protective cream built on niacinamide, panthenol, allantoin, and hyaluronate. Morning and night. Nothing corrective, nothing perfumed, nothing that tingles.

SPF like it’s your job

Post treatment skin is more sun aware than usual, and sun exposure is the fastest way to undo an investment. Daily SPF is non negotiable between treatments.

High performance treatments deserve an equally serious recovery ritual. That is the entire philosophy.

The OzoMD Reset

Two formulas. One recovery ritual.

A concentrated recovery oil and a protective daily cream — physician formulated, fragrance free, made in the USA.

Start Your Reset

When to book the next appointment

Skin that spends the between weeks replenished and protected shows up to the next appointment looking calm and even — which lets your provider work with it, not around it. Many med spa clients keep a standing rhythm: treatment, recovery ritual, treatment — and their skin reads the consistency.

One more time, because it matters: always follow your provider’s aftercare guidance first, and save this routine for when you are cleared for regular skincare.
