Who OzoMD is
OzoMD is a physician-formulated recovery skincare brand from the USA that makes two fragrance-free products built around ozonated olive oil, for skin that has been over-treated with actives and needs to recover its calm. We are a small, physician-led team. The formulas are ours, the facility is NSF certified, and a real person answers the email. We sell two things and we are not planning a shelf.
The problem we kept seeing
The same story, over and over: good intentions and a seven-step routine, and skin that had become tight, red and reactive from too many actives. Retinol, acids, scrubs, back-to-back peels and lasers, each one reasonable on its own, all of them at once. The advice was always the same: stop, strip it back, let the barrier settle. But there was rarely a product built for that recovery window, so people kept reaching for another active to fix what the last one started.
We call this over-treatment, and it is the one thing OzoMD is for. Not anti-aging, not brightening, not resurfacing. Recovery.

The active lipid in both is ozonated olive oil: olive oil that has had medical-grade ozone bubbled through it until the oxygen bonds into its fatty acids as stable compounds called ozonides, which release oxygen-rich lipids slowly on skin. How it is made
OzoMD is made in the USA in an NSF-certified facility. The ozone is generated from a pharmaceutical-grade oxygen source and bonded into cold-pressed oils, then carried in squalane, jojoba, sunflower and rosehip so the oil absorbs instead of sitting on the skin like a paste. Every formula is physician formulated. We do not add fragrance, essential oils, acids or retinoids, because the people we make this for have usually had enough of all four.

- Fragrance free. No perfume, no essential oils, nothing added to cover the brief metallic note of true ozonated oil, which fades in a minute or two.
- Non-comedogenic. Light carrier oils chosen not to block pores.
- Vegan and cruelty free. Plant lipids, no animal ingredients, no animal testing.
- Made in the USA. NSF-certified facility, pharmaceutical-grade oxygen, cold-pressed oils.
- Honest cosmetic claims. We describe how skin looks and feels, we cite research about the ingredient with a disclaimer next to it, and we do not pretend to be medicine.

What we do not claim
OzoMD is a cosmetic. It moisturizes, comforts the feel of over-treated skin, softens the look of redness and supports how the skin barrier looks and feels. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, we have not run a clinical study on the product so we do not say we have, and the published research we link on the science page is about ozonated oil as an ingredient, not a promise about our jar. If a problem persists, see a dermatologist, and use OzoMD when they say moisturizer is fine.
